I have been searching for Robert Calderwood who was aboard the USS MIDWAY during 1975. He helped my family and I want to personally thank him and reunite him with my siblings. I was in my mother's womb at the time and my family did not speak English. I have pictures of him. Can someone please get back to me and let me know how I can go about locating him

* Great web sight, guys ! - I'm just an OLD dental tech,( One of those worthless rates), from '68 to '71. Before the Midway I had the pleasure of being stationed and lived at base housing at Hunters Point Shipyard. My only daughter was born out there, and passed away in '76. Been looking for OLD photographs of IN & AROUND the shipyard for years, so that I can re-create some history for my daughter, ours were all lost in a basement flood years ago. If any surface, you can forward them to me, I've got one of those "Cadillac" printers.

Thanks,
Don

Are all the specifications on the EA-6B really necessary, even though your webpage is great, your webpage is available for world-wide viewing. On our base, we were directed to take down any photographs or any specifications that could give the terrorists anymore additional information then what they needed to know. Since we are mainly a prowler base, we have had recently a lot of interested Middle Easterners occasionally passing by our base, one such person and it is documented in the Whidbey Island Times, they found traces of dynamite in a rental truck right outside our base. Just FYI.

Reply:

Ok, I am signing my own guestbook here in response to this entry. The above message was left by an anonymous ADC from NAS Whidbey Island.

My response:

Yes, all those specifications are necessary. None of them are classified and are readily available anywhere. This information was gathered from books, magazines, and the Internet. None of the specifications endangers any Prowler aircrew or gives away the plane's secrets. In fact, I have deliberately left the information slightly out of date. Once again, those specifications are necessary to the content of my website. Yes, it is a world-wide website and if any terrorist does read those specs, I hope it strikes fear into his or her cowardly heart.
