I served on the Midway in V-2 Division from early 71 to nov. 74. I remember many incidents from that time but am not sure of the factuality of them. I have 2 cruise books from that time and some memorabilia and many personal photo's that I will try to scan to you when I get my new scanner hooked up in January 03.

I served on Midway from March 65 to April 66. I served in G-division forward bomb assembly and have a lot of great memories of the "Mighty Mid" I am looking to speak to anyone who served in G-division. I have a few pictures of midway in my cube at work. People ask about it and I tell them a few sea stories. I have 8MM film (30-minutes long) of the WestPac cruise. Nice site, brings back memories....got to run, I'm at working surfing the web

I served 1982-1984 on the the USS Midway in VF151 Vigilantes. I also did a tour and a Westpac/IO with VF24 on the USS Kitty Hawk and also feel the Midway was the command I will always remember. The saying Midway Magic isn't just a saying it was really Magic. I have wonderful and fond memories of my time there. I was onboard in 1984 when we spent 111 days on Gonzo Station and I crossed the line for the first time. I received the MUC, 1 Ship and 1 Squadron Battle 'E' and 3 sea duty ribbons while aboard the Midway. I worked on the flight deck almost all the time I was there. I was there for Team Spirit 83. I also did the North Pacific Cruise in 1983. That was cold!!!! I had first choice of orders from 'A' school and selected VF151 on the Midway. Everyone said I was crazy, looking back they where the ones crazy for not wanting to go and experience the "REAL NAVY" and actually see the world. Those days are always in my mind and will never be forgotten.

I spent 3 tours on the greatest warship that Navy ever had. I served onboard her from June 75 to Feb 78; Sep 85 to Aug 88; and as part of the final decommissioning crew and care taker crew from Feb 91 to Aug 92. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE BEST DAY OF MY NAVAL CAREER ONBOARD THE MIDWAY, ALL THREE TOURS.

I served aboard the U.S.S. Midway from September 1988 to May 2000, I was an AO and worked in AIMD on hanger deck level next to Jet Engine and Hydraulics. I sometimes miss the old boat, all of the friends and ports of call. Should think about organizing an all-hands reunion!
