I served aboard this great vessel from 1984 - 1986... and what a time served aboard this ship! I worked in the special services department (MWR) and worked in the mailroom as a PC with several other PC's.

Would like to hear from LT. Mike Kronzer, VF-151. A really good officer and awesome football player for the ships team! Mike if you are out there, please email me if you have a moment to do so.

Would like to hear from the following shipmates:
*Keith Hoke - BT3
*Alan Alterisi - MS2
*Rodney Wilkerson - YN2

If anyone can obtain or tell me how can I obtain a 1984 - 1986 cruise book, it would be highly appreciated on my behalf, please!

When looking for cruise books, eBay is the best place to find them. You have to be patient and wait for the one you want to show up. You should also be willing to spend a great deal of money for them.

An alternative would be to visit CV41.org and check out the cruise books Buzz Nau is offering on CD-ROM. Please click the banner link below to visit the USS Midway Cruise Book Store.

My grandfather, Raymond "Tiny" Allman from Indiana served aboard the Midway from 48-51. I believe he was an MM3. He worked in and around the ice machines. I spent many nights as a child listening to him relate the stories of his time aboard her. If anyone served with him and knows him, please email me, he would love to hear from any of you!!
