I served on the Midway 1984 thru 1986. (VA-56) Not knowing then...it was one of the best times of my young adult life. The ship's morale was always high thanks to Captain Mixon. And who could forget those delicious Mixon's fixins!!!! I served on other carriers after my Midway tour, but none could compare to the Midway!!
