The best, most comprehensive one-man show describing my former ship! Kudos to you for a fine job. As a Navy journalist, I helped run the AFRTS station aboard MIDWAY 1974-1976.

Midway Magic was a very real part of this ship and it's squadrons. This website opens that to the world.

I served on the Midway 53-55, during the Portsmouth Yard, GTMO, Med Cruise, & a round the cruise to join 7th Fleet. Worked in CIC & Air Plot. What was the name of tanker we sideswiped in Med???

The "tanker" in question was actually an ammunition ship: USS Great Sitkin, AE-17.

Looking for lost buddies from our time on the Midway. I was in AIMD Paraloft TAD from VF-151. Very lucky to have been a part of the ships history. Great time in our lives not to mention a growing experience. Hey Norenburg, where are you or Eddie J Hayes?

Aboard 1987-1990, OE03, UHF Shop. Great crew and outstanding ship. Am retired from USN, and now Police Officer. Am fortunate to be a volunteer onboard Midway here in San Diego. Where it all began, so it all ends. Anyone who wishes to chat, please e-mail. I am a bit nostalgic.

I served onboard USS Midway from SEPT 1978- AUG 1980. She was the first and most adventurous ship that I served on in my 21-year naval career. My first four months on board, I had been to Korea, Philippines, and Australia, to name a few. I really enjoyed the command.
