My step-father Roger A. Emmons was part of the voyage of 71. He was a ETR3, pay rank E4. He passed away November 6th, 2005 from congested heart failure. My family and I are trying to find out information about this voyage and his time aboard the Midway. The government is trying to say that he never served in Vietnam...and the info that I am finding contradicts this. They have his records sealed and the portions they will give us have most of the information blacked out. Has anyone else had this problem? Any information you could give us would be greatly appreciated. You are all wonderful people and WE are very grateful for everything you have done. Many thanks
