I served on the Midway from 1988-1991 in VFA-151, the most fun I have had in my life. Also was the best carrier I have ever served on, a lot of the newer ships and "new Navy" sailors could learn a lot from the Midway Magic.

I have to tell you that this is one of the best sites dedicated to a single ship on the internet. I spent a couple of hours on the site.

I first became interested in the USS Midway when I was in high school in 1969. My father who was in the Navy at the time took me to Hunter's Point Naval Shipyard to see the ship. He had a friend at the shipyard who gave us the 3 Buttons that I sent to you via scan. Ever since, I've collected things from Midway.

So, I sent scans of 5 unique Midway Buttons and a patch from the 1982 "E" Award Patch, which I did not see on the website. I hope you post them.

Keep up the good work on this outstanding website!
