Was aboard 1957 -- 1961. Went aboard in Bremerton, WA. Left Jan 16th, 1961. Was assigned to 3rd Div while on the Midway. Really enjoyed my time aboard. Was discharged, but reentered the SEABEE's in 1964 and retired 1981.

What a surprise I got yesterday. My Son-in-law and daughter visited the Midway Museum and bought a hat for my wife and a jacket for me plus other small stuff. Would you believe it THEY WERE MADE IN CHINA !!!!!!!!!!! Turned my stomach.
