Stood many a smoke watch up in the rigging with the radar antennae, watching the airdales wreck their airplanes. Left Midway for Submarine School, July 52. Did diesel and nuclear boats for the next 26 years. Commissioned in 1961, LDO Submarine Engineering. Served in 3 XO and 2 CO tours, retiring from the USN as a Cdr. 10-80.

Miller, Ernest Jackson

GLENS FALLS * Ernest Jackson Miller, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at his daughter's home with family by his side.

He was born on Feb. 26, 1928, in Glens Falls, to Mae Carr (King) Miller (born in Crown Point, N.Y.) and John H. Miller (born Hadley Hill, N.Y.).

Also to the Adirondack Manor Home staff who did the wonderful service of paying attention and communicating with family, as well as caring for and about him. Thanks to his team of caregivers and respite workers, kind and caring one and all.

Thank you to all who have added to his life and to all who have eased and shared in his passing. Thank you to all who have loved and sustained us, his family, during this time. God bless you all.
