Date unknown, but it's a vintage print showing Midway in the 1940's. Ron Langevin originally submitted this print for use on this site. It was given to him after being found in a friend's attic. He accepted my offer to buy it from him and it is now a part of my collection.

In this painting, an artist depicts both the original USS Midway, CVB-41 and USS Midway, CV-41 as she was at the end of service.

From the stern of the original ship, Operation SANDY is depicted: the first firing of a missile from a ship in September of 1947.
