Ship's History in the USS Midway section - added additional info on the 47-48 Med Cruise, submitted by Charlie Beggy, a former Midway crewmember. Charlie was kind enough to lend me his copy of his cruisebook (titled: USS Midway, Mediterranean Cruise 1947-1948). Upon comparing his cruisebook to my own (from the early 90's), I saw the differences between the crewmembers of his day and my own were very few. Sailors have not changed very much since the end of WWII. They share the same experiences, perform the same jobs, and look forward to liberty in new and exciting ports. They still bitch and moan about many things, but when it gets right down to it, they are the best at what they do! Charlie has told me that when I return his cruisebook to him, he is going to donate it to the San Diego Aircraft Carrier Museum. Thank you Charlie, for letting me view this treasure and BZ to you for donating it to the museum to take its place in history.

Memorabilia and Patch Collection pages in the USS Midway section - added information on how to obtain USS Midway memorabilia.

Request for Help: After receiving an information submission offer from Richard Minetti, a former Midway crewmember, I am now asking for help. I am attempting to add to this documentation of Midway's history and am always looking for new information. Mr. Minetti was kind enough to photocopy information from his copy of the 1952~1953 cruisebook and send it to me for inclusion on the history page. If anyone has any history, information, photos, or memorabilia they would like to share with others, I would very much like to include it on this site. Scans of photos or memorabilia would be the best way for submission. However, if you don't have access to a scanner, snail mail is always an option. Anything received would most definitely be returned to the sender. Full credit will be given to the owner of photos and to the submitter of information. If you have something you think would enhance this memorial to "The Fleet's Finest Carrier," please don't hesitate to contact me.

The new Menu is up and operational. I never realized how much work it would be. I ended up making a navbar manually without a wizard or program. I think the final outcome looks much better than the text-only menu that was up before. I also cleaned up a few of the other pages on the site, streamlining them a little. I adjusted some of the graphics and layouts. It seems that once you start something, you keep finding other stuff to do.
